Little Red

How I missed this is beyond me.  Stiles and Derek walked a long road together, bound by a mutual love/hate friendship.  Those lines faded after Boyd was murdered and Lydia drew back, realizing there was little more she could do.  Derek was nearly killed in Mexico by the Berserker,  Stiles kept looking at Derek, eight times gazing into what might be Derek's last breathe and wondering should he remain or aid his best friend.
